Salet Wines was founded in 2002 and is located in Currarong Shoalhaven NSW and is what the French would identify as a “Garagiste”. The name Salet, is the ”nickname”
for my Family name, which originates from one of the Croatian Islands, where my Ancestors for generations, have been viticulturists and wine makers.

The fruit for the red wines is selected from high quality areas of Southern Australia, and is handpicked and transported by refrigerated vehicle to my cellar, where I
personally make the wine which matures in American and French oak barrels in an air conditioned, dark quiet cellar for up to five years before bottling.

Traditional methods are used including room temperature fermentation and wood basket pressing. Being close to the sea, where the strong north east winds are
prevalent the sea air is allowed to subtly influence the wine maturing in the oak barrels over those very long periods.

One of the unique features of Salet wines is that they have a smooth rich structure, and seem never to spoil. The wine in an opened bottle will keep its freshness for
many days. This is due to not only the quality of the fruit, but also the extended oak barrel maturation.

Several Fine Dining Restaurants and Hotels in the Sydney, South Coast and North Coast areas have acquired my wines.

In Sydney, Catalina, Becasse, Four in Hand, Arras, Aqua Dining, Lucio’s, Machiavelli’s, Il Piave, Flying Fish, Bei Amici, Koi, Cottage Point Inn, Beaches Pizza in Manly, Jonah’s  in Whale Beach, and the Sydney Hotels, Sheraton on The Park, Shangri La, and The Four Seasons.

Also Eschalot in Berrima, Onesta Cucina in Bowral, Seahaven Cafe in Geroa, Pavilleon in Berry, Stonegrill, Ritzy Gritz and Hanoi on Manning in Kiama, Caveau in Wollongong,
Trevi Fountain and The Butter Factory in Nowra, Pelican Rocks in Greenwell Point, Bellachara and Shimmer in Gerringong, Bannisters in Mollymook, Elizans in Ulladulla,
